Awwwwwwwwwwwww

That's the only title I could think of for this blog post. When I look at this cute little face and those amazing blue eyes I can only say "Awwwwwwwwwww!"

This little guy is my grammar school friend Nicole's baby. I took him at 2 months old (Christmas photos) and I wanted to take him again for his 8 month portraits.

I drove to meet them at Villanova University yesterday even though it was about 100 degrees. We desperately tried to find all the shady spots and I ended up getting so many great photo ops of baby and baby & mom.

Even grandma got in a couple shots and I'm so pleased how the 50mm lens performed for all of the shots!

There were so many that I love but I'm still editing them slightly and I may share more soon.

JuJu

More from Erin & Noel's wedding.

Lil "JuJu" is so super cute. I had to give him his own blog post.

Such a little man in his tuxedo!

The "Brats"

My friend Tiffany's mom, Donna, is learning how to make her own wine at The Grape Escape Winemaking School in Dayton, NJ.

She's calling her wine "Two Brats" and she wanted me to take some "bratty looking" photos of her grandsons (Tiffany's boys) to use for the wine label.

I thought the idea was so funny we we tried to do some "bratty" poses. Normally I would have cropped them more but I wasn't sure what size she would need.

These are my favorites of what we came up with:

Even thought D. (in the back) is out of focus I can't help but love M.'s expression here. They're great little actors!

And just one more...

Smiles and Giggles

A few more edits of the Communion Shoot...What great & fun experience!

These are the last of the "communion related" photos from: this shoot.

I have other shots of the kids (casual) and some with mom from this session to edit later and they where a lot of fun to take as well!!

She's sooo cute! Who could resist taking a million photos of her - especially w/ those blue eyes and adorable smile!

And look at those brown eyes!

Great moment!

She finally warmed up to the camera:

And would could resist a twirl for the camera!

And a silly one when you just can't think of any more poses!

Sisterhood

How do people make it through life without a sister?

When sisters stand shoulder to shoulder, who stands a chance against us?

A sister is a gift to the heart, a friend to the spirit, a golden thread to the meaning of life.

Sisters are blossoms in the garden of life.

It was nice growing up with someone like you - someone to lean on, someone to count on... someone to tell on!

Sisterhood is powerful.

Sisters don't need words. They have perfected a language of snarls and smiles and frowns and winks - expressions of shocked surprise and incredulity and disbelief. Sniffs and snorts and gasps and sighs - that can undermine any tale you're telling.

A sister shares childhood memories and grown-up dreams.

Siblings are the people we practice on, the people who teach us about fairness and cooperation and kindness and caring - quite often the hard way.

Good News!! I Made a Sale of 4 of My Dragan Style Photos

Good news! I forgot to mention that I made my first official sale off my website that generated me an actual profit (I've made other sales on my smugmug site but they were at wholesale cost to friends...no profit).

The sale was to the lovely mother of my lovely friend Tiffany. Her mother purchased the Andrzej Dragan style photos of Tiffany's 2 sons to hang in their bedroom!

The 4 Dragan Effect Style photos can be seen in this blog post from a while back. More Dragan effect information and a tutorial can be found on there as well.

Yay! An actual sale of my work!! It worth all of the time spent on the Photoshop post-processing on those photos!

I will be sure to snap pictures of the photos (mounted in frames on the wall of their room) once they are hung so I can share them here on my blog.

So exciting!

More of my Dragan Style photos can be seen in this gallery: http://www.jenweaverphotography.com/gallery/3907308_QE5cy/1/236338979_e3adt

More of "Baby's 1st Christmas"

This turned out to be the best gift I could give to my friend...portraits of her baby who is a little over 6 weeks now.

As you can see the new muslin backdrop worked really well!

I spent all night and all of today editing this particular portrait shoot (of course with lots of distractions LOL!)

I think my friend is going to use of the first few for her Christmas card. I can't wait to hear what she picks out.

And don't forget my favorite shot that I shared in yesterday's post (Dec 1st)

With Mommy:

I have lots more non-Christmas shots that I will hopefully post soon!

The entire gallery can be seen HERE. (There are many unedited shots there that I haven't worked on yet. I just dumped the whole session so my friend could choose which she'd like.
